Pique announces retirement from football

Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique has announced his retirement from professional football through an official video the he posted on his social media. 

The defender confirmed that the upcoming game against UD Almeria will be his last at Spotify Camp 

Pique, who is 35, has been at Barcelona since leaving Manchester united back in 2008, racking up to total of 615 appearances, scoring 53 goals in the process. He has also won thirty major trophies including three Champion's league title with the club. 
Barcelona are yet to make any announcement regarding this, too, but we can all expect Pique to receive one final warm reception from the stadium that has defended him for the last decade and a half of his life.
