Destiny reason Nigeria failed to qualify for Qatar – Sanusi

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has revealed that destiny was the reason why Nigeria did not qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Nigeria needed to beat Ghana at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja after playing a goalless draw at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi Ghana.

Williams Troost Ekong’s penalty cancelled out Thomas Partey’s long range strike in the first half but didn’t do enough to get the winner.

Sanusi believes that the Super Eagles did all they could to get the victory but regardless of their best efforts they were not just destined to grab the World Cup ticket.
