A brace from Bukayo Saka sent Arsenal back to the top of the table with a 3-2 victory over Liverpool on a thrilling day of Premier League action that produced 15 goals and three comeback wins.
Gabriel Martinelli took only 58 seconds to put Arsenal ahead, before Darwin Nunez poked home the equaliser for his first Premier League goal since 6 August.
Saka restored Arsenal's lead before half-time but Reds' substitute Roberto Firmino made it 2-2 eight minutes after the break.
Back came Arsenal, and Saka slotted home from the penalty spot after Thiago had fouled Gabriel Jesus for only the Gunners' second victory over Liverpool in 15 top-flight matches.
Mikel Arteta's side are now on 24 points, one point and a place clear of Man City. It is the first time since 2016 they have been top after nine matches.
Liverpool drop to 10th on eight points.
