HND1 BROADCAST WINS MACSA HOD'S CUP.

The HND 1 full time Broadcast part of the department of Mass Communication, Lagos State University of Science and Technology has won the 2022 edition of the Macsa HOD's Cup after defeating the ND3 part time day special 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw at full time.

The match, which was held at the school stadium kicked off at 3pm on Tuesday, 11th of October, 2022.

HND1's Ojoye Pelumi scored the opening goal just after 7 mins with a wonderful strike to give his team an early lead. Olatunde Olamilekan doubled the lead at 30 minutes.

However, few minutes to the end of the first half, ND3 came back into the game with a goal from Faruq to put the scoreline at 2-1 at the break. 

The second half started with such much determination from the ND3 team to score the equalising goal which made the game more tense. However, the HND1 team did all they could to maintain their lead and ensure victory but were unfortunately disappointed after the referee, Israel Wilson awarded a late penalty in favour of the ND3 team.

ND3's Damilola Isaiah scored the late penalty to bring the match to a stalemate and the game ended 2-2 at full time.

David Oluwatobi, the head coach of HND1 team was shown a red card during the match. The incident happened during the second-half of the game following an illegal entry into the field and was sent off by the referee.

A penalty shoot-out followed after full time which saw the HND1 team to victory after Olamilekan scored the winning penalty to end the game at 4-3 after penalty shoot-out.
